Sixsixsix Music is proud to continue its support of the UK underground scene with the release of She Who Holds the Scrying Mirror, the debut demo from Blackened Death band, Goatchrist, who originate from Leeds in the North of England.

Goatchrist originally started as a one man band, but are now coming together as a full band, with the line-up being finalised right now.

She Who Holds the Scrying Mirror is a re-issue of the bands debut offering, (from earlier in 2014) recorded when vocalist/guitarist Dominator Xul'Ahabra was just 16 years old and when he was the sole band member. So this is a unique insight to witness the first creations from someone at the very beginning of their musical journey.

This re-issue also includes the new instrumental track, The Triumvirate's Flight To Nippur

Sørbyen, c'est un recueil de complaintes d'un éternel inadapté ; la pause clope tranquille se fait seul : netra tourne le dos à la ville et son accoutrement fait tâche dans ce paysage neigeux. La musique est à l'image de la pochette : plus calme, certes, mais à part, aliénée et on ne s'y sent jamais chez soi. Le trip-hop ne transmet aucune chaleur ; le black metal est souvent accompagné de chants folk mais déprime encore plus ; la techno ne donne pas envie de bouger. La douleur est viscérale... Certains vont bondir à l'idée de "rafraîchir" le black metal dépressif mais c'est bien à cette tâche que se consacre Funeral Fornication dans Solitude and Suicide. Les mélodies lancinantes tournent en boucle ("Channeling Volatile Energy"), Vultyrous hurle son désespoir à s'en déchirer les cordes vocales et la production est distante. Mais c'est surtout par les synthés qu'il surprend car ils sont très dramatiques voire théâtraux, ils nous attirent dans la tourmente comme le chant des sirènes... Jordan Vauvert
