It's a fierce black metal record that has this really cool melodic parts that they seem to have singled out so it shines like a forest fire. Cool record althroughout and has been a favourite of mine eversince.

Amazing from start to finish, this EP from experienced musicians delivers masterful blackened death metal at its finest. The band is new to me, but when I read about the band members' pedigree, it all comes back, these guys are not novices. There is also a lot of variety in these three tracks, which is much appreciated really! This convinced me without the shadow of a doubt! sachavonkarl74
Featuring members of Noothgrush, Graves at Sea, and more, the Oakland metal band juxtapose cavernous doom with spaced-out shoegaze. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 21, 2024
Raven God is firmly rooted in the old school black metal tradition. Not overly raw (thankfully), but with plenty of room for melody. Overall, this is an album that feels complete for its variation in approach and pace. The vocals are hoarse and understandable, the latter being a bit of a rarity I feel. Raven God causes no revolution in the land of black metal, nor does it pretend to. Great album! Bloedarend
