From a casual discussion between two Metalheads, Steve Thomas-Green from new UK label, Sixisixsix Music, and author & illustrator Chaz Wood, from Fenriswulf Books, the idea of putting together a compilation album of underground bands was born.

While bouncing around ideas for the title, the concept of charging the lowest price possible came to the fore. We started by deciding to charge just one US Dollar for about an hours worth of music.
This led us to the inscription In God We Trust, which features on US currency, which morphed into In Metal We Trust.

(Update - because I now have quite a few UK bands on the roster, the prices are now in GB Pounds - so the price is now £0.50)

All the money received is put towards paying for the albums promotion, including sending out promotional copies via the ipool system.

From concept to creation, it’s taken less than a month to put this album together, with no compromise in quality. Most of the bands are unsigned, which just goes to show that there are a number of outstanding underground bands, just waiting to be discovered.

stroszek, c'est selon c. lui-même "de la musique de vieux pour les vieux" et sound graveyard bound ne le démentira mas. ce troisième album croise néo-folk avec le rock et a plus de chair que les deux autres : la guitare électrique s'affirme et des solos sont à profusion. malgré tout, la chair est frappé par ce naufrage qu'est la vieillesse et le moindre mouvement fait mal. c. est vivant, on l'entend respirer et déglutir, mais son chant se propage en échos, comme s'il avait un pied dans la tombe. Faces of Insanity, troisième album du groupe russe Epitimia, est parsemé de concepts psychiatriques mais le plus important est, je pense, celui du test de Rorschach : ce qui compte, ce n'est pas la perception mais l'interprétation. Pour pousser à cet effort, Epitimia navigue volontairement entre deux eaux : la production, les guitares et le chant ont le tranchant du DSBM (Epitimia se rapproche de Psychonaut 4 sur la cinquième piste) mais les mélodies sont très riches, voire groovy.
