This was odd, but not in a bad way. While during some parts it was hard to get into the groove, others inexplicably just... worked. Truly experimental and unique, just a rather acquired taste. spawnofchaos

It’s a lot of work getting through all of HDR’s albums, and I have put off several. This is one of them, and I was stupid. This guy is a fantastic guitar player, and this album is very good. I was really surprised how good this album turned out to be. Hard to pick a favorite track. Metallurgical Fire

De l'action de descendre sciemment vers le néant au constat simple, lancé dans un dernier soupir, comme si on était mis devant le fait accompli : There is no beauty left here...
Mais contre toute attente, ce chant du cygne d'Exiled from Light n'est pas une acceptation résignée de la mort. Mort (je parle de l'artiste) est animé de l'énergie du désespoir, cette énergie qui fait accomplir des choses extraordinaires quand tout est perdu et ça rend son DSBM très beau, paradoxalement.
